Powdertech Collections Available Through the NBS National BIM Library

Powdertech Corby’s unique ‘Collections’ range of powder coatings can be researched and downloaded as BIM objects from NBS Source.

Users can access all ten ranges of coatings within the Powdertech Collections, including Aged Metal, Terracotta, Freeform, Wood Finish and the latest release – Satellite. A Powdertech case study using a weathered steel finish from the Aged Metal Collection is featured on the NBS home page at and Powdertech’s own page.

NBS Source is the fastest-growing building information modelling (BIM) library in the UK, containing an extensive collection of both generic and manufacturer BIM objects ranging from building fabric systems to mechanical and electrical objects. All the objects meet the requirements of the internationally recognised NBS BIM Object Standard. The library contains thousands of BIM objects which have been authored and certified by NBS experts to the NBS BIM object standard, ensuring the consistency and currency of all objects in the library.

“We consider the NBS BIM library to be of huge benefit to architects, designer and building developers”, said Richard Besant, Director, Powdertech, “Nothing beats having a wealth of information all in one place where manufacturers and products can be easily researched and compared.”
