Brandsafe CPD Seminar Offers Architects New Guidance on Specifying Industrial Protection Systems

A new professional training and development seminar for architects on industrial safety systems and products has been introduced by impact protection specialists, Brandsafe.

The RIBA approved free initiative advances architectural knowledge around the specification of commercial safety products for industrial warehouses, storage facilities and distribution centres and understanding of important standards, allowing specifiers to improve the design and construction of premises while boosting their technical and product knowledge.

Delivered onsite at practices or via webinar, and contributing towards required RIBA accredited CPD training, the programme covers the current and future trends in industrial distribution and logistics sectors and critical factors around specifying industrial safety products. How to select systems, choose suppliers, and the design techniques and solutions involved in protecting people and property, are also covered in the first comprehensive CPD of its type.

Brandsafe’s products, which include Armco safety barriers, bollards, flexible delineators, safety cages and enclosures, vehicle wheel stops and EV charge point protectors, are designed to protect key interior and exterior areas from the risk of impact by wheeled pallet trucks and forklifts as well as safeguarding people.

Further CPD seminars from Brandsafe will follow later this year and in 2022.

Susy Keating, Managing Director at Brandsafe, said: “Ensuring best practice around safety in a warehouse environment that’s becoming ever busier, is crucial. People and property need to be properly protected and the seminar provides vital guidance on how architects can design better, safer and more productive workplaces for clients.”
