After leaving DWA, Nathan formed arc7 design with a colleague, where he stayed until 2007 when, with a young family, he returned to Yorkshire and joined Brewster Bye Architects (BBA), becoming a Director in 2013. Here, Nathan runs through some career highlights with FC&A.

Richard Parker is a Chartered Architect and currently leading design and engineering company BakerHicks’ architectural team in the UK, focusing on delivering positive and impactful spaces for its clients. Here, he talks to FC&A about how a childhood interest in constructing and deconstructing objects led him to follow architecture as a career path.

Fresh out of university, Aart Koning, Director at CHQ Architects, started his own design firm with two friends back in the ‘80s. From here, he went from strength to strength, working for the likes of Foster + Partners. In this Q&A, Aart talks to us about his career and explains where his love for architecture began.

Angus Smith studied Architecture at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. Following his education, he went on to work in an international practice that specialised in dramatic developments for Sol Kerzner and Southern Sun Hotels. After returning to the UK and completing his professional exams, Angus joined Space Solutions, delivering the Bon Accord Shopping Centre in Aberdeen. Since then, and after marrying and having a family, he has worked widely in the North East and the central belt of Scotland.
