AET Flexible Space have just completed a major upgrade of the underfloor air conditioning system at a historic building located in the Clerkenwell area of London, The Bond Works building at 77-79 Farringdon Road. The building was originally constructed in 1882 as the London premises of Lincolnshire based engineering firm, Marshall & Sons, and previously underwent a full redevelopment in 2007 by a group of private investors.

AET Flexible Space have just completed a Cat-B fit-out of underfloor air conditioning equipment on the second floor of 8 Waterloo Place for the new incoming tenant, a leading wealth management company. The stunning Edwardian building with a grade II listed Portland Stone façade was fully refurbished in 2008, creating 3,000 sq. m of prime office space in the St James’ area of London, with the second floor becoming the first space to be occupied.

An emerging form of ground source heat pump system (GSHP) known as ‘shared ground loop arrays’ is making a big impact on climate change and air pollution at the same time as providing low-cost heat for households and a return for investors in the technology. Stewarts Lane railway depot in Battersea has been providing maintenance and stabling for the South East of England’s rolling stock since 1862 and was, at one point, the largest locomotive capacity in the Southern region. The facility has provided a service to London and its southern arterial rail system through two world wars, the steam days, nationalisation, electrification and privatisation. Having stabled the Royal Train, one of the depots main uses today is for the maintenance of the prestigious Orient Express.

AET UK have worked closely with Romanian distributor, Convergo Energy on the first underfloor air conditioning installation in the country, and the high profile project will create first class, grade-A office space for the owner-occupier.

No. 8 Waterloo Place, a fabulous Edwardian building with a Grade II listed Portland stone façade, has recently undergone a full refurbishment including structural reconfiguration to the central core and installation of new HVAC services creating 33,000 sq. ft. of prime speculative office space just off Piccadilly in the St James’ area of London.
