Lighter, Brighter Homes with F H Brundle

Glass balustrades are one of the fastest-growing glazing products in Europe and F.H. Brundle have the widest range of innovative, stylish and installer-friendly, handrailing and balustrade ranges available.

Homeowners, architects and product designers have striven to introduce as much transparent space to houses and gardens as possible, which has fuelled the incredible rise of bi-folds, for instance – and now, glass balustrades are taking things a step further – by turning barriers that have traditionally often been opaque, like balconies and banisters, into ones that are transparent.

The benefits of glass balustrades are endless – they’re ideal for modern interiors and exteriors, are easy to clean, strong and durable, safe and secure.

Easier installations

Glass balustrades are an extremely effective way of bringing more light, a greater sense of spaciousness, and minimalistic style to a property – which goes a long way to explaining why the demand for them has risen considerably over the last decade.

Take the Wedge-Loc™ range for example, this great value system is quick and easy to install thanks to pre-drilled channel fixing holes and internal and external corners. Available as a base or side fix option. And, what’s more, stainless steel cladding isn’t required.

Our Wedge-Loc™ Slim channel is great value, quick to install and available in satin anodised or mill finish.

The Wedge-Loc™ F channel has been designed for installations under screed or decking subframes and is supplied in a satin anodised finish.

Wedge-Loc™ Duo comes with adjustable grips to allow for quick alignment of glass and can be supplied in satin anodised, PPC black or mill finish.

The Posi-Glaze system is F.H. Brundle’s innovative aluminium channel system that allows installers to easily adjust the glass panels once in place, saving both time and money. Suitable for domestic and commercial applications, it is available in a silver anodised brush or black finish.

The Posi-Glaze R-Lock system allows for installation from the balcony side. It is lightweight and strong and its F-profile allows for flush edge fitting. It is the perfect choice for installations where access to one side of the balustrade during installation is challenging. The R-Lock system is available in a fully anodised stainless steel effect.

There is also an extensive range of pre-assembled posts to choose from. Round or square profile posts with glass clamps that can be used with or without a handrail and are a cost-effective way to achieve a stunning balustrade. Quick to install with the option of bolt-down, concrete-in and side-fix, they offer great on-site flexibility.

Spigots are also a simple way to achieve an open glass balustrade. With the advantage of only being visible towards the base, they keep views open and clear. These are quick to install with only one fixing per spigot, and are available in round, square, with Duplex 2205 or PPC black options.

Glass stand-off adaptors are another great way to create a glass balustrade with uninterrupted views. Available in zinc and stainless steel Type 304 and 316, and now also available in a PPC black finish. With a choice of diameters and a solid flat or domed front or adjustable flat front. Suitable for 6 – 25.52mm glass.

We offer a huge range of standard stocked glass panels for delivery with your order. All our glass panels have polished edges and dubbed corners and are available from stock up to 15mm thick, with other sizes available to order. In addition, with our glass gate fittings you are able to create beautiful fences and gates from our standard glass panels.

We also offer a range of toughened laminated glass up to 25.5mm thick. Along with a large range of standard toughened monolithic clear float glass panels at very competitive prices up to 25mm thick.

Designing one of the ranges to fit your requirements is also a breeze, thanks to the F.H Brundle Liveconfigurator™ online glass balustrade configuration tool. It’ll save you hours of drawing time and costly mistakes – and best of all, you get a set of CAD drawings totally free!
