Leading Timber Alternative Passes Stringent Acoustic Testing

F.H. Brundle’s well-regarded range of Rinato fencing has passed stringent acoustic testing.

A robust, versatile and cost-effective alternative to timber, Rinato is now accredited to BS EN1793-1 standard.

To pass BS EN1793-1, a product is subjected to rigorous testing designed to measure how much sound it’s able to absorb, and whether it’s suited to reducing traffic noise in busy roadside settings.

This gives Rinato another strong USP that makes it an excellent choice for residential, commercial, transport, education and industrial contexts.

Paul Smith, F.H. Brundle’s Head of Marketing, comments: “Noise pollution has come under the spotlight more than ever in recent years.

“Far from being just a nuisance, it’s increasingly being linked to an array of medical concerns, with the World Health Organisation warning that 1 in 5 Europeans are regularly exposed to sound levels at night that could significantly damage health.

“We’re delighted that our exceptional range of Rinato fencing has been demonstrated to offer great acoustic performance, and are confident it will go on to deliver privacy, security and sound reduction in thousands more projects and developments around the country.”

Durable, stylish and weatherproof Rinato polymer fencing and gate infill boards come in three authentic finishes, golden oak, anthracite and rustic oak, and all feature a decorative wood-effect laminate wrap.

The embossed range is more cost-effective, but still provides a realistic heat-embossed woodgrain finish with a choice of four colours – black, grey, brown and green.

Rinato WPC fencing boards are made of 60% FSC-certified recycled wood and 40% plastics, meaning they’re more sustainable than many alternatives. They’re virtually maintenance free – without the need for the time-consuming regular painting most timber products require.

Available in four colours, birch, chestnut, ebony and twilight grey, the boards come in standard fence heights of 1.8m with 1.8m post centres, and a choice of concrete-in or bolt-down posts.
