DOW BUILDING SOLUTIONS TO INTRODUCE NEW GENERATION ROOF INSULATION AT ECOBUILD 2012
Dow Building Solutions – manufacturer of STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation - will use Ecobuild 2012 to introduce its latest generation insulation for inverted roofing, XENERGY SL, on stand N1251.
XENERGY offers the established properties of STYROFOAM – including durability and moisture resistance - alongside significantly improved lambda values thanks to the addition of infrared technology.
The launch comes hot on the heels of recent improvements to thermal conductivity across the existing STYROFOAM-A range. Thermal conductivity of STYROFOAM-A - which includes ROOFMATE-A, FLOORMATE-A and PERIMATE DI-A products – has already been improved by 0.002W/mK, enabling users to achieve lower U-values from the same thicknesses of insulation.
“Ecobuild is the perfect opportunity for us to introduce new XENERGY SL to the market, but also to remind architects, specifiers and contractors of the reasons they’ve specified STYROFOAM products in the past,” explained Jayne Law MBE, UK and Ireland Sales Manager for Dow Building Solutions.
“Over the years we’ve striven to respond to market needs and legislative demands by making advances in the technical capabilities of our products – the launch of XENERGY and the improvements in thermal conductivity we are already able to offer are the latest examples of our commitment to such continuous improvement.”
