Register now for Timber Expo for the latest off-site solutions

To view the latest off-site solutions in timber, register for Timber Expo 2011 now.

As the show demonstrates, said TRADA Technology Marketing Manager Rupert Scott, ‘Wood is much more part of the mainstream in architectural and engineering design today. There is far greater awareness amongst specifiers of timber’s environmental advantages, which besides being reflected in legislation, also resonates well with inherent concerns about designing sustainably.’  Register at www.timber-expo.co.uk

Sustainability is a key theme of modern construction methods (MMC) and timber has advantages when considering environmental impact. Mr Scott added, ‘What makes “constructed off-site” systems more efficient  and therefore more sustainable is moving the bulk of the construction processes into well managed, factory conditions and performing minimum installation work on site.’

And all of this will be on show at Timber Expo on 27th & 28th September at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. More than 100 exhibitors include leading offsite industry advocates such as the UK SIP Association (UKSIPS) and leading providers of modern methods of construction - B&K Structures, Core Structures, Innovare Systems, Kaufmann, Lime Technology, Leadon Timber Frame, Frame Wise, Hemsec Installations, Frame UK, Harlow Brothers, Eco Frames, SIPCO, SIPS EcoPanels and Wiehag, to name but a few.

And TRADA’s flagship In Touch with Timber conference is now an integral part of Timber Expo, devoting an entire session to off-site construction:  ‘Improving processes and performance’ on 28th September.  Speakers include Simon Smith , Ramboll UK, Peter Cartwright, Cartwright Pickard; Guy Nevill, Max Fordham; and David Grindley, David Grindley Architects.
